A joint statement by the Prime Ministers of Australia, Canada, and New Zealand revealed support for urgent international efforts to reach a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, according to Cairo News Channel, in its urgent news.
The statement said: “We oppose any reoccupation of the Gaza Strip or reduction of its area,” stressing that the continued suffering of civilians cannot be the price for defeating Hamas.
The statement continued: “We oppose the forced displacement of Palestinians and support their right to self-determination.”
