She has been criticized for her stance on anti-Semitism on campus, according to what the Ivy League, an association of prestigious American universities, said Saturday.
Magill was one of three senior university presidents who came under fire after they testified at a congressional hearing on Tuesday about rising anti-Semitism on campus after the outbreak of the Gaza war last October.
Scott Bock, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Philadelphia-based university, said on Saturday, in a statement published on the university’s website, that she had agreed to remain in her position until an interim president was appointed
