During a press briefing held today at the Ukrainian Embassy in Amman, marking 1,000 days of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, Ukrainian Ambassador to Jordan, Myroslava Shcherbatiuk, highlighted Jordan’s pivotal role in supporting peace and stability regionally and globally.
The ambassador praised Jordan’s position as an “early and consistent supporter” of Ukraine in various international forums, emphasizing the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to justice and peace amid global crises.
She stated, “The ongoing war against Ukraine poses a global challenge, not only in terms of security but also on humanitarian and economic levels. We deeply appreciate the unwavering support of nations that uphold the values of justice and peace, with Jordan standing prominently among them.”
The briefing also shed light on Ukraine’s efforts to confront the repercussions of the war, with the ambassador stressing the importance of international cooperation and the support of friendly nations to achieve security and stability.
Concluding her remarks, Ambassador Shcherbatiuk expressed her gratitude to Jordan, both its government and people, underscoring that the Kingdom’s positive stance will always be a beacon of the strong bilateral relations between the two countries.
